7月２２日、オジーオズボーンが生まれ故郷のイギリスで亡くなりました。７６歳という年で最後は家族に見守られ静かに看取られたそうです。2019年にパーキンソン病と診断され病状は悪化していたようですがメディアのニュースを見ていると最後までロックなジジイだったようでカッコいいもんです。
オジーオズボーンと言えば話し方でも有名です。もともとイギリス人なのでブリティッシュアクセントが聞きずらいからなのか分かりませんが記者会見やドキュメンタリーで何言ってんのかよく分かりません。パーキンソン病の影響かとも思って調べてみると彼は他にも病気を患っていたようです。グーグルAIではオジーについてこう言っています。

Patient Number 9 という曲がありますがこの曲はまさに精神病院のテーマや閉じ込められている感覚を直接的に扱っていて、同じような経験をした人々の共感を呼ぶかもしれません。オフィシャルのPVを見るとなかなかエグいですが、誰しももがき苦しむ感覚を多少は味わってきているんではないのでしょうか。こうゆうことを考え出すとなんだかどんどん落ち込んできそうですが、そんな気持ちがあるからこそ今生きてて面白いことが引き立つわけでそんなふうにオジーの曲はこれからも残っていけば良いのではないかと勝手に解釈しています。
